Steel Cross started in 2006 as a series of concerts held at KCC in Kingswinford, West Mids, working with some great bands, great people and seeing God move through prayer we faced struggles and ever decreasing attendance until we realized that we were called to be doing other things
In Nov 2007 God gave the vision of the prayer network connecting ministries. In the first six months we saw an amazing growth and now through the prayer network over 40 different ministries and individuals across the UK, Europe and the US are connected with more ministries and people joining each month
As we've listened and followed God we've been taken on an incredible journey and it's our wish to continue what he has planned and to serve, encourage and bless our brothers and sisters in Christ
Some of the ways we've been able to do this is through working with GLDF, Meltdown, Detonation Magazine and others - also the prayer network continues to be a blessing
In August 2008 we held the Steel Cross Prayer Trip with members of the SC team visiting different ministries around the UK, A great time was had though it was challenging at times but we were able to connect with 8 of the ministries on the prayer network and also connect with others who aren't
In 2009 we met and worked closer with more ministries and several more trips were taken - 2009 also saw the second Stand event take place after the great response from the previous year also major involvement with In Tune and Detonation mag
Steel Cross Promotions
was born out of the Steel Cross Ministry with a heart to work in both
Secular venues and churches alike and with Christian and secular artists.
We bring to any event both professionalism and Christian values resulting
in all our events in one way or another honoring God and the people we
work with
The team bring several years of experience to the ministry and contacts
with some of the top Christian bands in the country, as well as several
local bands in the Midlands area. We also have connections with several
external services which can be of benefit to anyone working in this field.
We are currently working with christian thrash band Back Pocket Prophet
and they will be releasing their debut album in 2010
Over the time that we've been running Steel Cross myself and the team have seen God do some amazing things and seen him lead us into some exciting and new areas. The future for this ministry looks bright and that is all down to God to Him alone goes the glory
The main pillar of the ministry is founded on prayer for without that we can do nothing and we give thanks that we have an awesome God who answers prayer and wants to connect with his people
